It was an absolute pleasure to work with this bombshell.  So down to earth.  Her husband is such a lucky fellow. I want to point out a few keys to my posing during a boudoir shoot.
First of all, it's always good to have something for your hands to be doing so they don't look awkward.  Often it's playing with jewelry...

your hair or clothing..
.
Variety of poses keep them guessing.

Great to mix it up in your album with a detail shot.  This one is a favorite of mine.  Subtle and extremely sexy without showing a lot.
Ring placement is always key in a gift to a groom.  For anyone who doesn't want to show certain parts of their body, there are a million poses to only accentuate your assets.  Keeping your head towards the light source and closer to the camera slims the hips and legs.
How much does she look like Reese Witherspoon in this shot?
Mixing it up between not looking, looking serious, smiling, and laughing are crucial to mixing it up for the series of photos in your album.

Backlighting is a tricky way of really slimming a figure.  The brightness wraps the edges of the body to make it smaller.  This shot uses the angles in her arms to lead your eye through the shot.  She looks like she's cut straight from the pages of a VS catalog.  Glowing and GORGEOUS!
Don't worry though, I always coach my clients through their session so you don't have to remember all of these tips.  One of the biggest comments I receive is that it's so much easier more comfortable than they thought it would be. I've also written a blog on what to bring and how to prepare for your shoot and you can find it HERE.  If you want stunning images like this, you know where to find me. Pin-up weekend is coming up November 12-13!  Can't wait to see you all there!

Megan Zeller Photography Boudoir Teaming with a Salon?

I've been playing around with the idea of teaming up with a local salon for my boudoir business.  I wanted to see what all of YOU think!  Right now I have clients meet make-up and hair artists at my home prior to their shoot.  I thought it would be a great move to advertise with a postcard at an upscale local salon offering their clients a discount on my services as well as a discount to my clients for any of the services they provide.
I do love the intimacy of doing everything here, however my clients could pick and choose their services to include nails or waxing eyebrows etc.  Beyond that, it insures that there will always be someone available for your shoot and gives me some extra time with my family at home before I have to give them to boot before all the excitement begins.
Leave your comments and let me know what you think of Megan Zeller Photography teaming up with an amazing local salon!

Boudoir Photography- Central PA

Today I photographed the most beautiful girl.
These shoots are great confidence boosters and are so much fun.
One of the most common comments I get is that I made it comfortable and not at all awkward.
I love helping women see how amazingly beautiful they are.

(Go ahead and start hating- these photos have not yet been retouched other than the black backgrounds.)
Thank you so much for coming to hang out today!

What to Bring to a Boudoir Shoot?

Boudoir bookings are taking off!  I am optimistic about being one of the only female photographers in the area offering high quality, full service, beautiful boudoir photography. Every photo shoot has been a blast.  Being able to show women how absolutely gorgeous they truly are has been awesome.  Women are finally opening their eyes! I wanted to make a post about the biggest question I get: "What should I bring?".
First of all, come with just foundation if you have chosen to have a make-up artist lined up for you that day.  You can also choose to have someone do your hair with your package.
Bring something sexy that isn't necessarily lingerie.
Bring at least one set of matching lingerie.
If you don't have it, don't worry.
Not sure your man will ever notice if it matches or not.
 Jewelry and accessories are important.
They can really add dimension to your photos.
 Maybe a jersey...
 Or clothing of his.
Another great idea is something that has meaning to him.
I've seen military gear, fire fighting gear, police hats, guitars, and even motorcycles.
A pair of heels and anything else that makes the shoot your own.
Bring a pair of stockings and a garter.  I think it's one of the sexiest pulled together looks.  I just bought one the other day at Victoria's Secret on sale for just $6 so they are not expensive.
Keep in mind- I emphasize your assets and hide things that may not be.  I also offer to fully retouch all of the images you select for printing and your album so everything is shockingly beautiful.
If you have any other questions or would like to book your shoot, get in touch!
Hope to see you soon!
