Harrisburg Photographer- The Joint Ball

If you love a man in uniform, you're going to love this post.  I recently had the honor of photographing a formal military ball for the students attending the US Army War College in Carlisle.  Nothing more appropriate to post this Memorial Day Weekend.  Proud to say many of these couples are my friends.  They inspire me.

These bag pipers, who came to the event to play with no monetary compensation, had me in tears during their rendition of Amazing Grace. The USAWC Commandant said it best- if you were not moved by that, then check your pulse.

The MC for the night pulled together a beautiful event with the entire Joint Ball Committee with the help of the Hershey Lodge.

Happy Memorial Day everyone and Thank You to all the service men and women out there defending our way of life.

The Young Wedding at Ocean City Maryland

LOVED this wedding. Brittany and Mike were so much fun and so much in love.  They have been together since the beginning of time so it only felt right to make Brittany Mrs. Young.

Blue steel.

Batman garter!
Absolutely STUNNING.

My favorite part of the day was when Mike caught a glimpse of Brit coming and he started to get choked up.  The pastor said, Mike, are you crying?!  Mike responded, "Of COURSE I'm crying, have you SEEN HER?!"

Love the lights at this reception.

Chest hair out.
Smashed a glass.  It was THAT kind of awesome party.

And yes, if you see the running man video from this reception, it was indeed me.
Wishing all the best to Mike and Brittany in all their years to come together!

Ryan's Senior Portraits

A few months ago I posted that I wanted to do a photo shoot for someone who deserves a random act of kindness.  Ryan was the lucky recipient of a free senior portrait session after Jenn nominated him and several people voted on him to win.
He was awesome.  We shot mid winter with watery eyes and wind, but with his warm smile, he rocked it.

I really love this one with my new Florabella actions.

After the shoot was over, it reminded me how good it feels to do good things for good people.  Best of luck to Ryan in the future!
