Gabe and Elyse's Central PA Engagement Session- King's Gap

We met at King's Gap for Elyse and Gabe's engagement session.  Gabe told me to park "by the horse" in the parking lot.  The entire rest of our evening was full of laughs as well as some sweltering romance between these two.

They worried how they would look in their photos.

  Answer: AMAZING!

Just loved watching these two interact during their shoot.  They way Gabe looks at Elyse is so sweet and when I'd have them kiss, it was difficult to get them to stop.

King's Gap was a great spot for engagement portraits and I had such a good time with Gabe and Elyse. Looking forward to making their flush mounted guest book with all of these shots for their wedding coming up in April!
Gabe and Elyse: Thank you so much for a fun evening full of tripping over tree stumps, getting frog hands, and sitting on unfortunately shaped rocks.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with this bombshell.  So down to earth.  Her husband is such a lucky fellow. I want to point out a few keys to my posing during a boudoir shoot.
First of all, it's always good to have something for your hands to be doing so they don't look awkward.  Often it's playing with jewelry...

your hair or clothing..
.
Variety of poses keep them guessing.

Great to mix it up in your album with a detail shot.  This one is a favorite of mine.  Subtle and extremely sexy without showing a lot.
Ring placement is always key in a gift to a groom.  For anyone who doesn't want to show certain parts of their body, there are a million poses to only accentuate your assets.  Keeping your head towards the light source and closer to the camera slims the hips and legs.
How much does she look like Reese Witherspoon in this shot?
Mixing it up between not looking, looking serious, smiling, and laughing are crucial to mixing it up for the series of photos in your album.

Backlighting is a tricky way of really slimming a figure.  The brightness wraps the edges of the body to make it smaller.  This shot uses the angles in her arms to lead your eye through the shot.  She looks like she's cut straight from the pages of a VS catalog.  Glowing and GORGEOUS!
Don't worry though, I always coach my clients through their session so you don't have to remember all of these tips.  One of the biggest comments I receive is that it's so much easier more comfortable than they thought it would be. I've also written a blog on what to bring and how to prepare for your shoot and you can find it HERE.  If you want stunning images like this, you know where to find me. Pin-up weekend is coming up November 12-13!  Can't wait to see you all there!

Bri and Mark Get Married at Whitetail Ski Resort- Central PA Wedding Photographer

I have been SO EXCITED to release these photos to my blog readers!  Bri and Mark's wedding was unique and magical.  As avid snowboarders (remember their engagement photos?), they were married on a cold COLD day, at the base of Whitetail's mountain.

Bri looked absolutely flawless with her hair and make-up done.
Love the way she giggled every time Mark kissed her.

After the wedding, we headed to the top to snowboard down in celebration.  This was a first for Whitetail and I hope it starts a trend.
Once we reached the top... cue the SNOW!
The falling snow made these photos some of my favorites of ALL TIME.

While they snow boarded, I skied ahead to get some action shots...
and yes, I fell and we had a good laugh.
Awesome little side note: their officiant is also a friend and the owner of Funtastik!
Loving the display of all their engagement photos at the reception!
The guest book was a snowboard. How cool is that?

The wedding was early in the day and one of the coolest touches was Whitetail's made to order coffee bar at the reception.  White mocha, cinnamon, dark chocolate cherry, S'mores, minty goodness.  You name it, we drank it.  To me, it was better than booze any day!

Look at the light illuminating them during their first dance.
Magic.

Big shout out to Whitetail and their staff for being so accommodating to me.  One of the best groups of people I've ever worked with in the industry. They made everything flow beautifully that day.
A huge thank you to Bri, Bri's mother, and Mark for having me shoot their wedding day. It was just such an amazing experience and was so sweet to see you two officially start your lives together as one.  Looking forward to seeing where you go from here!
