Katie: Senior Portaits, Carlisle

After waiting out a nasty storm that blew through Carlisle, we went out spot hopping to take Katie's senior portaits. I tried out an awesome new location as well. We got some amazing shots and had so much fun in the process. Ended up being a perfect evening for a photo shoot.Love this new spot!

What an awesome job I have! Thanks guys for making what I do so much fun :)

Emily's Boudoirs

Emily totally rocked this shoot. I'm constantly amazed by the beautiful images I capture, but to be honest, I think I have very little to do with it. It takes awesome clients with great personalities and gorgeousness to make beautiful images. I know I know, less typing and more boudoirs. Here are some of the shots she chose for her album...I love this next series of 3 photos taken on my living room floor.
This whip/feather toy was a bacholorette gift from Emily's sister. A pretty awesome prop and a great source of jokes!

Thanks girls for being so much fun, I'm really looking forward to Saturday!

Texas Hold 'Em

It's how we met for the first time. Over a deck of cards and a plastic cup of beer. I first met my husband at a Texas Hold 'Em game at his house. This weekend he took me to a cabin to get into a tornament. "It's pointless to play. I'm always one of the first ones out. It's just a waste of $25. Why don't you just play and I'll watch? I'm not that great at poker." 4 hours later, I was still in it. I ended up taking home the winnings of 3rd place out of about 68 people! Now my husband is jealous :)

Every post is better with a photo, so here is a sneak peek of some boudoirs I'm working on...

Smolnik Wengert Wedding- July 18th, 2009

I loved when Dan got up at his own reception and spoke about how Alex was his "ah ha!" moment in life. Where everything seems to fall into place and all is right with the world because you have found your soul mate and partner for life. There was some rain that sprinkled throughout the day, but the sun came at the perfect times. As Alex walked down the isle to meet with her groom, the sun broke through the clouds as if God himself reached out to put his blessing on this marriage. What an awesome moment.
Her parent's yard made the perfect backdrop for a ceremony don't you think?Check out this car they rode in to the reception. The reception was held at the Capitol Theater in Chambersburg.Strangest and best salad I've ever had. It was wrapped with spring onion and stood straight up like something straight out of Little Shop of Horrors.Show that cake who's boss Dan!

Big shout out to Lalani Grochowski, Alex's wedding coordinator. She owns BI Designs in Chambersburg. She was great to work with and did an awesome job with all the details. We worked well together and she was always there to lend a helping hand- as seen in this photo. Congratulations Dan and Alex- I really enjoyed being a part of your big day!

Breaking the Rules

I broke one of my rules yesterday. I paid to advertise. I actually paid to have a vendor stand at the County Fair where local businesses can showcase their services to the incoming students and others in the Carlisle Barracks community. Things went quite well. I was giving away a free sitting to the folks who dropped by and committed to booking a session with me. Thanks to all who entered!
I'm proud to announce that Liz Dodson is the winner! It's worth up to $65.
I'll be sure to share her photos in the future.
I have no photo of me at my stand- I wasn't thinking. Instead, here is a sneak peek of the Wengert Smolnik Wedding.

Reviews on WeddingWire.com

I swear, I get cooler and cooler. To add to my mad skilz in Html cutting and pasting, I have inserted this link so that my brides can go and review my services to help me advertise on Wedding Wire.
I'd appreciate any lovely comments you would like to leave about your experience with me as your wedding photographer!
