Aten & Ganoe Wedding - Mechanicsburg Wedding Photographer

This fall I photographed Sara and Josh's wedding at Strock Farms in Mechanicsburg, PA.  It was my first time shooting there and it was beautiful!
I had met the family only via email so I was pleasantly surprised to show up and discover that I knew Sara's maid of honor who used to watch my kids at the gym for me way back in the day.
The first look was...
Magical.

Brooke sat with me as I got these photos ready to post and she was asking me why I was using one where they are both blinking.  I explained they were having a sweet little snuggle moment with their eyes shut and then it all seemed to make sense to her.
I love shots like this.
And ones like this that show SO MUCH PURE HAPINESS!!

Loved this lighting at the end of the day.

Thank you so much to the Ganoes and Aten's for asking me to photograph!  I had a wonderful time celebrating you both and enjoyed meeting everyone.

Nancy and Pete's Boiling Springs Engagement Shoot

Did the sweetest shoot at the Boiling Springs Lake the other day of Nancy and Pete.  If you know Pete, you KNOW he was joking around the whole time and I was thrilled to get to spend some time with them and get to know Nancy.  They are really great together.
They wanted some shots that aren't underwater scuba diving or in bike gear.  I think we nailed it in between jokes and laughs!

 Favorite!
 Checkin' out the rock!

The much needed matching sunglasses shot.
The best of luck to the both of you for the future!!

Gabe and Elyse's Central PA Engagement Session- King's Gap

We met at King's Gap for Elyse and Gabe's engagement session.  Gabe told me to park "by the horse" in the parking lot.  The entire rest of our evening was full of laughs as well as some sweltering romance between these two.

They worried how they would look in their photos.

  Answer: AMAZING!

Just loved watching these two interact during their shoot.  They way Gabe looks at Elyse is so sweet and when I'd have them kiss, it was difficult to get them to stop.

King's Gap was a great spot for engagement portraits and I had such a good time with Gabe and Elyse. Looking forward to making their flush mounted guest book with all of these shots for their wedding coming up in April!
Gabe and Elyse: Thank you so much for a fun evening full of tripping over tree stumps, getting frog hands, and sitting on unfortunately shaped rocks.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with this bombshell.  So down to earth.  Her husband is such a lucky fellow. I want to point out a few keys to my posing during a boudoir shoot.
First of all, it's always good to have something for your hands to be doing so they don't look awkward.  Often it's playing with jewelry...

your hair or clothing..
.
Variety of poses keep them guessing.

Great to mix it up in your album with a detail shot.  This one is a favorite of mine.  Subtle and extremely sexy without showing a lot.
Ring placement is always key in a gift to a groom.  For anyone who doesn't want to show certain parts of their body, there are a million poses to only accentuate your assets.  Keeping your head towards the light source and closer to the camera slims the hips and legs.
How much does she look like Reese Witherspoon in this shot?
Mixing it up between not looking, looking serious, smiling, and laughing are crucial to mixing it up for the series of photos in your album.

Backlighting is a tricky way of really slimming a figure.  The brightness wraps the edges of the body to make it smaller.  This shot uses the angles in her arms to lead your eye through the shot.  She looks like she's cut straight from the pages of a VS catalog.  Glowing and GORGEOUS!
Don't worry though, I always coach my clients through their session so you don't have to remember all of these tips.  One of the biggest comments I receive is that it's so much easier more comfortable than they thought it would be. I've also written a blog on what to bring and how to prepare for your shoot and you can find it HERE.  If you want stunning images like this, you know where to find me. Pin-up weekend is coming up November 12-13!  Can't wait to see you all there!
