Took Ian's senior portraits on Sunday and am super stoked to share them.
I love the backlit shots.  Something I've never tried with senior portraits.

 Killer blue eyes.

Used a few Totally Rad Actions on these photos.  Love their products.  If you are a photographer, go check them out!

The other week, during a winter warm spell, I went out with Kyle and Elizabeth to do engagement portraits along with Elizabeth's little girl, Leah.

I loved photographing Leah, she was full of sass.

Well done on the ring Kyle, WELL DONE!

It wasn't easy to get Kyle to smile, but I was ready on the trigger when he did.
 I love this one.
 and this one
We were finished the session when we realized the train was about to go by, so I took just a few more shots. The graffiti added and unexpected yet cool element to their shoot.  This I think is my favorite shot.
Photos from Elizabeth and Kyle's wedding to come... (their wedding day was a blast!)

The Joint Ball

I feel lucky to live in America. There are many other places I could live where I would never be able to own my own business or even work at all, vote, or even say what I want.
Often times I think most people take for granted the reason that we have all this freedom. There are a lot of people who have defended our country and our comfy way of life and there are many who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It's something we should be thinking about on Memorial Day, rather than just focusing on cook outs and traveling. I admit that I have taken this for granted for most of my life. I now work around many of the people who are willing to die for my freedom and it has opened my eyes. There aren't many people willing to do that. Military service isn't for everyone- it's not for me- I'd run and hide in a war. I'd like to thank everyone who has taken that oath not to run and hide, but to honor and defend. I recently photographed an event for some of these great people who put service first.Don't these guys look feirce? I'm biased though- orange is my favorite color plus I just love this couple. This is one of the nicest men you'll EVER meet.A few of the proud spouses.
We did a few fun pictures too.

Happy Memorial Day! Take some time to think of all those serving our country and remember those we have lost doing so.

Another Location

LOVE it! I want to do a contest soon, I don't know how yet, but I think the prize will be a photo session at this location at sunset. I know it's rather blurry seeming that I shot it from my phone while driving, but does anyone know where this is?

As we speak I am walking out the door for my Florida/Disney vacation- photos galore to come! I'm also photographing a wedding vow renewal while I'm there- too cool. But for now, until I have an internet connection again, here is a sneak peek.
Meet Tessa Carver...

AJ and Maya: Truely Blessed

Now, for the rest of them... almost...

My favorite.

My little Children's Place model.
We like to sing "Rock-a-Bye Baby" with motions- it goes like this:
Cue the WIND!

WARNING: Well trained photographer's son, don't try these poses at home folks.

The love these two have for eachother is adorable. Holding hands, little kisses, pats on heads. I hope that relationship never fades. I don't remember ever getting little kisses or pats on the head from my big brother!

I'm truely blessed to have these two in my life.
